Draft: this document describes how 27Guard works today. It becomes final once these required details are added:
- Who is responsible for the data. The official name of the party responsible for your data is not stated yet. You can already contact 27Guard through the support tickets.
- How long database backups are kept. The 30-day period below is not yet confirmed as applied on our servers and in any separate backup storage.
The rest of this document describes the service accurately as written.
These terms apply to the 27Guard Discord bot and its website (together, "the service"). 27Guard is an independent service; it is not operated, sponsored or endorsed by Discord. By adding the bot to a server or signing in to the website, you agree to these terms.
Discord comes first
You use 27Guard through your Discord account, so you must follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines and meet Discord’s minimum age. Nothing in the service lets you do something Discord does not allow.
Server administrators
- Only add the bot to a server you have the authority to manage. The bot asks for the Administrator permission because backup, recovery and anti-nuke features recreate roles, channels and permissions.
- You decide how the bot is configured. Moderation actions it takes under your settings, such as bans, kicks, timeouts, role changes and message deletions, are your server’s actions.
- Anti-Scam starts in Report only. If you switch it to Enforce, messages with images confirmed as known scams are deleted and their authors are timed out for 24 hours, unless you choose another duration or deletion only.
- Tell your members that the server uses moderation and logging, including the Media Archive’s copies of images and videos where it is active, as Discord expects of servers that do.
- You are responsible for the people you give access to the dashboard, as an Administrator or a Manager, and for the Protection Bypass exemptions you grant. An exemption applies only to the protections you select for it.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service to break the law, harass people, send spam, or violate Discord’s rules;
- try to get around plan limits, access checks, rate limits or other security measures;
- attack, overload, scan or scrape the service, or access data that is not yours;
- resell or redistribute the service without permission.
Cost
27Guard is currently free to use, and no payment can be made through it. Some features and limits depend on a server’s plan (Free or Premium), as shown on the website.
What we can and cannot promise
We work to keep the service available and the protections effective, but the service is provided "as is". No protection can stop every raid, spam wave or destructive change, a backup cannot always restore everything exactly, and automated detection, including Anti-Scam, can miss scams and can be wrong. Review its alerts and mark false positives so the action can be corrected, and keep your own records of anything you cannot afford to lose. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn.
Suspension and ending
We may suspend or block an account or a server that breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk. You can stop using the service at any time by removing the bot from your server and removing 27Guard under Authorized Apps in your Discord settings. What happens to data afterwards is described in the Privacy Policy.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the loss of messages, roles, channels or other server content, arising from use of the service or from it being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes and contact
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. Questions, and reports of problems or misuse of the service, go through the support tickets on the website.
